Publication Ethics

Asia Journal of Advanced Education and Training Research (AJAETR) is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics, research integrity, transparency, and responsible scholarly communication. The journal expects all authors, editors, reviewers, and other individuals involved in the publication process to follow accepted ethical standards and to conduct their responsibilities with honesty, fairness, and professional integrity.

The publication ethics policy of the Asia Journal of Advanced Education and Training Research applies to all manuscripts submitted to the journal and to all articles published by the journal. The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, fraudulent research, duplicate publication, undisclosed conflicts of interest, or other forms of research and publication misconduct.

Research Integrity

The Asia Journal of Advanced Education and Training Research expects authors to conduct and report their research honestly and responsibly. Research submitted to the journal should be based on genuine scholarly work and should accurately represent the methods, findings, analysis, and conclusions of the study.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their research complies with relevant ethical standards, institutional requirements, and applicable laws and regulations. Data, research findings, references, and other supporting information should not be deliberately misrepresented.

The journal also expects editors and reviewers to maintain confidentiality, impartiality, and professional independence throughout the publication process. Any suspected breach of research integrity may be investigated by the journal and, where appropriate, referred to the relevant authority.

Editorial Process

The editorial process of the Asia Journal of Advanced Education and Training Research is designed to ensure that submitted manuscripts are assessed fairly, objectively, and consistently.

Each manuscript is initially evaluated by the editorial team to determine whether it fits the journal’s scope, meets basic submission requirements, and demonstrates an appropriate level of academic quality. Manuscripts may be returned to authors at this stage if they do not meet the journal’s requirements.

Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial assessment may be sent for peer review. Editorial decisions are based primarily on the academic quality, originality, relevance, methodological soundness, and contribution of the manuscript.

Editors should make decisions independently and should not discriminate against authors on the basis of nationality, institutional affiliation, gender, personal background, or other irrelevant characteristics.

Peer Review

Peer review is an important part of the publication process at the Asia Journal of Advanced Education and Training Research. The journal uses peer review to assist editors in evaluating the quality, originality, clarity, methodology, and academic contribution of submitted manuscripts.

Reviewers are expected to provide constructive, objective, and professional comments. Reviews should be based on the content and scholarly quality of the manuscript rather than personal opinions about the authors.

Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts and should not use unpublished information obtained during the review process for their own research or personal benefit.

Reviewers should inform the editor if they have a conflict of interest or if they do not have sufficient expertise to review a particular manuscript. Reviewers should also identify relevant published work that has not been appropriately cited when such information is known to them.

Authorship and Contributorship

Authorship should reflect a substantial contribution to the research and preparation of the manuscript. Individuals listed as authors should have made a meaningful contribution to the conception, design, research, analysis, interpretation, or preparation of the article.

All listed authors should have participated sufficiently in the work to take responsibility for the content of the manuscript. Authors should agree on the order of authorship before submission.

Individuals who have contributed to the research but do not meet the criteria for authorship may be acknowledged appropriately.

The corresponding author is responsible for communicating with the journal and should ensure that all authors have approved the submitted manuscript and agree with its submission and publication.

Changes to authorship after submission should only be made for legitimate reasons and with the agreement of all affected authors and the editorial office.

Plagiarism

The Asia Journal of Advanced Education and Training Research considers plagiarism to be a serious violation of publication ethics.

Plagiarism includes presenting another person’s words, ideas, data, findings, or other intellectual work as one’s own without appropriate acknowledgment. Authors must properly cite and reference the sources used in their manuscripts.

The journal may use plagiarism-detection or similarity-checking procedures when evaluating submitted manuscripts. A manuscript containing substantial unattributed material may be rejected, and further action may be taken when necessary.

Authors should also avoid inappropriate self-plagiarism and should clearly acknowledge material that has previously appeared in their own publications.

Duplicate and Redundant Publication

Authors should submit original manuscripts that have not already been published and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Submitting substantially the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time is considered inappropriate publication practice. Authors should not divide research findings unnecessarily into multiple publications when doing so could mislead readers about the originality or completeness of the research.

If a manuscript contains material that has previously been published, the authors must clearly disclose this to the editorial team and provide appropriate references and explanations.

The Asia Journal of Advanced Education and Training Research may reject manuscripts that involve duplicate or redundant publication and may take further action when a serious violation is identified.

Conflicts of Interest and Funding

Authors must disclose any financial, professional, personal, or institutional relationships that could reasonably influence the research or its interpretation.

A conflict of interest does not necessarily prevent publication. However, transparency is essential. Authors should disclose relevant conflicts at the time of submission so that the editorial team can make an informed assessment.

Authors should also provide accurate information about financial support, research grants, institutional support, or other funding received for the study.

Where applicable, the role of the funding organization in the research design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, manuscript preparation, or publication decision should be stated clearly.

Editors and reviewers should also disclose conflicts of interest and should not participate in the evaluation of manuscripts where their impartiality may reasonably be questioned.

Libel, Defamation, and Freedom of Expression

The Asia Journal of Advanced Education and Training Research supports academic freedom and the responsible exchange of scholarly ideas. Authors are encouraged to present evidence-based arguments, critical analysis, and different academic perspectives.

At the same time, published material should be accurate, responsible, and supported by appropriate evidence. Authors should avoid statements that are knowingly false, defamatory, or unnecessarily harmful to individuals or organizations.

Critical academic discussion is acceptable when it is presented in a scholarly and evidence-based manner. The journal reserves the right to request clarification or modification of content that may create legitimate legal or ethical concerns.

Retractions, Corrections, and Expressions of Concern

The Asia Journal of Advanced Education and Training Research is committed to maintaining the accuracy and reliability of the scholarly record.

If a published article contains a significant error, the journal may publish a correction or other appropriate notice. Authors are encouraged to inform the editorial office promptly if they discover a substantive error in their published work.

A published article may be retracted when there is clear evidence of serious problems such as fabricated or falsified data, substantial plagiarism, major methodological errors, duplicate publication, or other forms of serious publication misconduct.

When the available information is insufficient to reach a final conclusion but there are serious concerns about the reliability or integrity of a publication, the journal may publish an Expression of Concern while the matter is being investigated.

Corrections and retractions will be handled in a manner intended to preserve the integrity and transparency of the academic record.

Image Manipulation, Falsification, and Fabrication

Images, figures, photographs, charts, graphs, and other visual materials submitted to the Asia Journal of Advanced Education and Training Research must accurately represent the underlying research.

Authors must not manipulate images or research materials in a way that changes or misrepresents the results. Legitimate adjustments made for clarity or presentation should not remove, introduce, or alter important information.

Fabrication means creating research data, results, observations, or other information that did not actually exist. Falsification includes manipulating research materials, data, procedures, or results in a way that produces a misleading representation of the research.

Suspected image manipulation, falsification, or fabrication may lead to rejection of the manuscript or further investigation after publication.

Fraudulent Research and Research Misconduct

Research misconduct includes, but is not limited to, fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, manipulation of research data, inappropriate authorship, deliberate misrepresentation of research findings, and serious violations of research ethics.

The Asia Journal of Advanced Education and Training Research takes allegations of research misconduct seriously. Where concerns arise, the journal may request clarification or supporting evidence from the authors and may contact the authors’ institution or other appropriate body when necessary.

If misconduct is confirmed, the journal may reject the manuscript, issue a correction or retraction, notify the relevant institution, or take other appropriate action depending on the circumstances.

Transparency

Transparency is an important principle of responsible scholarly publishing. The Asia Journal of Advanced Education and Training Research expects authors to provide sufficient information about their research methods, sources, data, funding, conflicts of interest, and other relevant aspects of their work.

Authors should provide accurate information during submission and should respond honestly to questions raised by editors and reviewers.

Editorial decisions should be made on the basis of scholarly considerations. The journal aims to maintain a transparent and consistent publication process while protecting the confidentiality of authors, reviewers, and unpublished manuscripts.

Data and Supporting Evidence

Authors are responsible for ensuring that research data and supporting evidence are accurate and, where appropriate, available for verification.

Where ethical, legal, privacy, confidentiality, or contractual restrictions do not prevent disclosure, authors may be requested to provide relevant data, research materials, instruments, analytical procedures, or other supporting evidence to the editorial team.

Researchers should retain appropriate records of their research so that findings can be understood and, where possible, independently assessed.

Where research involves human participants, authors should follow applicable ethical requirements relating to informed consent, privacy, confidentiality, and protection of participants.

Integrity of Record

The Asia Journal of Advanced Education and Training Research recognizes the published literature as an important scholarly record. The journal therefore seeks to preserve the accuracy, reliability, and permanence of its published content.

Changes to published articles will be made only when there is a legitimate editorial, ethical, or scholarly reason. Corrections, retractions, and other notices should clearly indicate the nature of the change and should not unnecessarily obscure the original publication history.

The journal maintains appropriate publication information, including article details, authorship, publication dates, citations, and other bibliographic information, to support the integrity and traceability of the academic record.

Marketing Communication

Communication about the Asia Journal of Advanced Education and Training Research should be accurate, professional, and consistent with the journal’s academic mission.

The journal will not intentionally use misleading claims about peer review, editorial decisions, indexing, publication standards, acceptance rates, or other aspects of the publication process.

Authors, reviewers, editors, and readers may receive information about journal activities, calls for papers, publication updates, or other scholarly announcements. Such communication should provide clear and accurate information and should not make promises that cannot be supported by the journal’s actual policies or practices.

Advertising

Any advertising associated with the Asia Journal of Advanced Education and Training Research should be clearly distinguishable from editorial and scholarly content.

Advertising or commercial considerations must not influence editorial decisions, peer review, acceptance or rejection of manuscripts, or the academic content of published articles.

The journal reserves the right to reject advertisements or promotional material that are inappropriate, misleading, inconsistent with the journal’s academic standards, or likely to compromise the independence and reputation of the publication.
